Little Harbour is a small community located between Souris and Basin Head.
Adjacent to Northumberland Strait , Lot 46. Possibly given because the bay there is much smaller than at Souris. Named by Samuel Holland 1765 Hervey Cove for William Hervey (1755-1763). Bellin 1744 Havre a I'Anguille (Eel Harbour); Author Lake 1863 Harvey Cove. PO 1872-1913.
It is is known primarily for Litle Harbour Beach, which is a popular summer beach destination. The beach features a long stretch of white sand which begins at Little Harbour and reaches all the way to East Point. Little Harbour is also home to the Black Pond Bird Sanctuary.
